That next big project -

ThePlan

So… you’re working on that VERY first, really BIG, really IMPORTANT complicated-type project.

Or maybe it’s your hundredth, or your thousandth.

Point is - when you go to get those multiple required bids that the accounting department seems so fond of, are you getting apples to apples? I’m not talking about spec so much as… does the firm wanting to handle this really BIG, really IMPORTANT project care about it as much as you do?

Do they want to get involved with you, find the best plan of attack to make this happen or do they just email you a bid based on the spec’s you gave them? Do they come up with helpful ideas to save time, money, get your vision, and how to make that shine? When you come away from a meet with the rep, do you get the feeling they are as invested in your project as you have become? Do you remember their production team from past projects as being invested or just doing their job?

Image has a team of reps and production crews that fill that bill. So when you look at the bottom line, remember that what you see at the end of the day needs to reflect a commitment to excellence, as well as the cost of materials.

Bradley Angle and the Wine Women & Shoes event

Jewelry table
Committed to community involvement, it was quite the sacrifice, but somehow, lead by our fearless leader Kay Lynn Myers - we rounded up the girls and went shopping for a cause!  In support of the Bradley Angle house and their work to end domestic violence, the Image team, and some of our good buddies went to the Wine Women & Shoes event.   Being locally owned, we understand the importance of participating in and supporting such wonderful causes.  It was a great evening and huge success for all involved, not to mention a whole lot of fun!

We won! Image Pressworks is a Sappi Printer of the Year.

Poster 002

We won! Our poster for the Portland International Film Festival, Designed by Steve Sandstrom of Sandstrom Partners took first place in the Sappi contest, Western Region. Because there was no poster category - we were forced to fight it out in the general category, making this an especially sweet win and the competition was fierce. It was the perfect storm - brilliant design, progressive client, exceptional craftsmanship and the latest of technology. Just how we like it.

Image does Drupa

Jerry Hilbert and Chris Chase are just back from their research trip to Dusseldorf to attend Drupa - the biggest and best of the print tradeshows.  Our commitment to producing exceptional work and being environmentally responsible includes our commitment to the latest and greatest technology.  Jerry & Chris found some exceptional solutions,  got seriously inspired and came back with a long shopping list.  Welcome home guys!

Got Configurator???

A buzzword in websites these days-   a "configurator" is a program that will customize your site to the person viewing by looking through their browser for clues on their interests.  But the reason for this buzzword is ages old - customer focus.

This type of customer focus can also be applied to your direct mailings with a variable data print run.  With the move away from "Madison Avenue" created fads, buyers can focus attention on what is relevant to their needs and wants.  With a variable campaign you can also create that same focus  with images focused on common interests.

For example, put the image of a middle aged golfer on your mailing to baby boomers, and a younger image on the "X gen" list.  Maximize relationship by personalization in your message as well as variations of image to keep ahead of the competition, we can show you how.

Remember, relevancy rules.  Only relevant content for your target overcomes their attention threshold in a busy world.

A little fun...

Holding down the fort sir
A few members of the sales team took over Jerry's office while he was away at Drupa.... well just for a minute....

Three reasons to use variable data mailings:

Why use our variable data services?  Here are three reasons:
1.) Return rate - Everyone wants to feel special. That's why a personalized piece gets 3 times (or more) the reponse rate of non-personalized mailings.  These days however, you need to have more than just a "fill in the name" type of variable to get the best results.  We can show you how to get a variation that matters to your clients - ask us!

2.) Higher response rates equals higher return on investment (ROI).  The holy grail of direct mail has always been to improve response rates, for this obvious reason.  It makes an unprofitable activity worthwhile.  Variable data mailings prove over and over to increase this benchmark for success, doubling or even tripling your ROI.

3.) Find your target quickly and save money doing it.  Variable data also means print what you need.  Our digital equipment can give you a high quality product, but let you narrow your target.  With a smaller quantity you can test for best design and message before going to offset for a larger rollout.
